Tilemachos Kyriazatis is a Greek painter based in Athens, working in oil on canvas across two bodies of work: large-scale maritime paintings of commercial tankers and vessels, and a new series of contemporary figurative paintings rooted in the visual language of ancient Greece.
Trained at the Athens School of Fine Arts, his work has been exhibited internationally at Stephanie Hoppen Gallery and Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery in London, and at art fairs across Hong Kong, Singapore, New York, San Francisco and Battersea.
Maritime Paintings — Tankers & Vessels
For over two decades, Kyriazatis has painted commercial tankers and maritime vessels in large-scale oils. Each ship is named after a figure from Greek mythology — Artemis, Orpheus, Thetis, Triton, Amphitrite — elevating the modern vessel to the scale of ancient myth. Bold compositions, high-pigment colour, and the vast silence of open water.

A new series of figurative oil paintings drawing on the visual language of ancient Greek vase painting. Nude forms in flat, saturated colour carry symbolic motifs — a flower before it opens, a bird mid-flight, a hand reaching toward the unnamed. The mythology that lived inside steel now has skin.
